Adventure Activities in Bali

Written by admin on April 5, 2019

For most Balinese people are all about the beach, unique culture, and yoga and meditation. But this beautiful Indonesian island has a lot to offer for those who seek adventure in their active holidays. Here are some adventure activities that you can enjoy in Bali.

River rafting: Walk through white water rapids. While a bulge will bounce from your seat when you are hit by a splash of water and a few seconds later you will be in calm waters enjoying the beautiful landscape of Bali before your eyes. And when you take in the view, you will be able to hear the distant sound of the next explosion that is waiting for you. There are two major rivers for white water rafting in Bali – The Ayung and Telaga Waja. Both rivers are located in central Bali; but the rafting operator will pick you up from your villa or hotel in Bali from one of the major cities on the island. Ayung is more accessible while the Telaga Waja River is more challenging especially during the rainy season when rapids are getting stronger. Book White Water Rafting Bali Here

Diving: The best place to dive is not far from Tulamben beach where the ruins of World War II independence are 120 meters long located at the bottom of the ocean. Another destination is the M length islands where the crystal clear waters are home to dwarf sea horses that swim among colorful gorgonia fans. In Padang Bai, sharks and turtles roam the waters. On Nusa Lembongan, you can see rare sunfish and swim with manta rays. You will find several dive operators who will take you exploring the waters of Bali, especially on the nearby islands of Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Penida or The Gilis.

Climbing the volcano: There is nothing more exciting than reaching the summit of Mount Agung with the sun rising and spreading an orange hue on the island of Bali at your feet. With an altitude of 3031 meters, Mount Agung is the highest point in Bali. Depending on the route, physical fitness, and weather, climbing can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours. Although special equipment is not required for climbing, warm clothing is very important. It is recommended to take a guide and start around 2 in the morning to reach the peak around sunrise. An easier option is Mount Batur, which can be reached in about 2 hours or even faster if you are fit. Beautiful Lake Batur is close to where you can rent a kayak and enjoy views of the volcano from the waters.
